Would you like to function without feeling mental pressure that produces stress? The psychologists tell us that we can remove all of our mental pressure and most of our personal stress immediately. Most of us feel pressure when we have deadlines to complete things. We feel it when we have a lot to do in a short period of time. The good news is that there is a solution to the problem.
The place to start is with what can be called “releaser thoughts.” There are an infinite number of these and you can customize your own. A pressure-creating thought has to be replaced with a better thought. One that works quite well is saying to yourself, “I will do it if I can.” This involves self-talk and creates motivating thoughts. Here are some others that you may prefer: “It is important but not absolutely necessary;” “It is worth an effort.” Note that these releasers do not totally eliminate the chance of failure and that helps to preserve believability.
When you align yourself with the truth and reality of a situation, the mental pressure disappears. When a hoped for outcome is at stake, it is time to say, “I will trust my skills, plan the best I can, and accept the result.” The psychologists say that you will be surprised to discover how this eliminates mental pressure.
